Acoustic wood slat panels, made in Denmark

Akupanel is an acoustic wall panel made from real wood veneer slats mounted on a felt backing. The slats bring warmth and texture to a wall or ceiling, while the felt between them absorbs sound to cut echo. Every panel is made in Denmark by WoodUpp, with an acoustic felt backing made in Sweden, and delivered anywhere in South Africa.

Choose your size

All Akupanels are 60cm wide and 22mm thick, with 27mm slats spaced 13mm apart, so different heights sit neatly side by side.

Not sure how many you need? Use the wall calculator on each product page, or read how many acoustic panels do I need.

Finishes

Pick from Classic Oak with grey, black, beige or light beige felt, rustic oaks and larch, walnut and black ash veneers, colour finishes such as Cloud, Snow, Moss and Stone, and Wrapped finishes at a lower price. Our guide on how to choose a slat panel finish helps you match floors and furniture.

Where to use them

Akupanels are used for TV feature walls, headboards, living rooms, home offices and ceilings, and in restaurants, offices and lodges. See some of our commercial projects.

Installation

Panels fix straight to the wall with mounting glue or screws and can be cut to size with a saw. Add finishing slats and screws for clean edges. Follow our DIY installation guide, or request a quote for measuring, supply and installation by our verified installers.
