Aluwood 240cm

Aluwood 240 is a 2400 × 451mm outdoor slat cladding panel: thermally treated spruce slats on powder-coated black aluminium, for garage doors, exterior walls and facades.

Designed in Denmark, Aluwood brings the warm slat look outdoors without the maintenance of ordinary timber.

Specifications

• Size: 2400 × 451mm, 33mm deep
• Frame: aluminium, powder coated black, with an expected lifespan of at least 40 years
• Slats: thermally treated spruce, natural or painted, glued and screwed to the frame, with a durability of at least 20–25 years

How many do I need?

Each panel is 451mm wide, so divide the width you want to cover by 0.451 and round up. A 2.5m single garage door needs 6 panels.

Maintenance

No routine maintenance is needed thanks to the thermal treatment. Natural wood slowly turns silver-grey outdoors. To slow this, apply a water-based oil once a year, and keep it up annually once you start. Oiled Brown panels arrive pre-treated and need no oiling.

Can Aluwood be used outdoors?
Yes. Aluwood is made for exterior walls, garage doors and facades. Our indoor Akupanels are not suitable outdoors.

Will it turn grey?
Natural wood slats slowly turn grey outdoors. A water-based oil once a year slows this. Oiled Brown panels come pre-treated.

Can I return it?
Online orders can be cancelled within 14 days of delivery if unused and uninstalled.
